1 Corinthians 15:57-58 – But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
Meditation – it is essential to remember why we are on this journey. It can’t be for the compliments or people patting us on the back when we do good. There will be far too many days where no one will say anything to us; in those moments, will we value our discipleship any less? Will we be moved if no one notices our deeds? If so, what was our initial purpose for following? people won’t always heed our words; we’ll have to stand alone on occasion; it’ll feel that we produce work for the Lord’s sake that goes largely unnoticed; but, will we still be willing to remain steadfast, moving forward with the same zeal and enthusiasm we had when we first began with the Lord? It’s not in vain. Our work for Him never is. We have the victory; do the work.
